Eids are exceptional occasions during which sharing, solidarity, and fellowship are experienced in their strongest form, strengthening the bonds within society. Originating from the meaning “to be close,” the concept of qurban carries a profound spiritual significance that brings people together around the values that hold society united. Eid al-Adha, in turn, helps keep alive the consciousness of solidarity and self-sacrifice while reinforcing feelings of unity and togetherness.
In this context, I sincerely hope that Eid al-Adha will contribute to healing resentments, bringing hearts together, and strengthening social solidarity. I believe that such holidays enable us to unite around our common values and move forward toward the future as a nation with stronger steps.
On this occasion, I extend my heartfelt congratulations on Eid al-Adha to our students, academic and administrative staff, our beloved nation, and the entire Turkish-Islamic world. I wish that this blessed holiday brings health, peace, and prosperity to all.
