IUAS Celebrates the Graduation of the Class of 2026

Approximately 4,000 students studying in nearly 150 departments and programs at our University graduated in a ceremony held for the 2025–2026 academic year.

 

As part of the Graduation Ceremony of Isparta University of Applied Sciences (IUAS), the program first began with a wreath-laying ceremony at the Atatürk Monument, attended by Rector Prof. Dr. Yılmaz Çatal, academics, and students. Subsequently, a graduation ceremony for the graduating students was organized at the 19 May Student Square on the East Campus.

The ceremony was attended by Deputy Governor Dr. Halil İbrahim Ertekin, Deputy Mayor Ender Güven, Rector Prof. Dr. Yılmaz Çatal, Vice Rectors, Provincial Council Chairman Mehmet Ali Ertuğrul, Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Oğuz Gürsoy, Süleyman Demirel University Acting Rector Prof. Dr. Nihat Ayyıldız, directors of public institutions, representatives of political parties and non-governmental organizations, deans, academic and administrative staff, parents, and hundreds of young graduates.

During the ceremonial procession, attended by academics and students from the faculties and vocational schools, participants marched accompanied by the marching band of the Municipality of Dinar.

Prior to the ceremony, a performance by the IUAS Folk Dance Team took place at 18:00, followed by a concert by the IUAS Stage Orchestra at 18:30. The official ceremony commenced at 19:30 with a procession led by the Dinar Municipality Marching Band.

At the forefront of the procession were the graduates of the Second Spring University, affiliated with the University's Coordination Office for Ageing and Development. Following the parade of international students carrying their national flags and wearing traditional attire, the students of the IUAS Children's Academy Forest School, as well as the graduates and academics from six faculties, nineteen vocational schools, and one school, participated in the ceremonial procession. Throughout the parade, families in the stands enthusiastically applauded and supported their children.

As the rainfall intensified, the ceremony was concluded after the completion of the procession due to safety and health concerns. The inability to complete the ceremony as originally planned because of the severe weather caused great disappointment among the university administration, academic staff, and students. Taking into account the feedback received from students, new graduation programs will be organized by the respective academic units.
