ISPARTA UNIVERSITY of APPLIED SCIENCES
 

A new university was established in Isparta with the name of Isparta University of Applied Sciences with ‘’the Law Number 7141 on the Amendment of the Higher Education Law and Certain Laws and Statutory Decrees’’ published in the Official Gazette numbered 30425 and dated May, 18th, 2018.

Isparta University of Applied Sciences included 5 faculties which were previously affiliated to Süleyman Demirel University. Their names and connections were changed and connected to the Rectorate. These faculties are Faculty of Agriculture (previously Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies), Forestry Faculty, Technology Faculty, Eğirdir Fisheries Faculty and Faculty of Management

It consisted of 3 colleges (previously affiliated to Süleyman Demirel University and then connected to Rectorship) which are Eğirdir Tourism and Hotel Management School, Yalvaç Büyükkutlu School of Applied Sciences and the newly established School of Foreign Languages.

Vocational schools within Isparta University of Applied Sciences which were connected to the Rectorate by changing their connections previously affiliated to Süleyman Demirel University are Aksu Mehmet Süreyya Demiraslan Vocational School, Atabey Vocational School, Eğirdir Vocational School, Gelendost Vocational School, Gönen Vocational School, Isparta Vocational School, Keçiborlu Vocational School, Senirkent Vocational School School, Sütçüler Prof. Dr. Hasan Gürbüz Vocational School, Şarkikaraağaç Vocational School, Şarkikaraağaç Vocational School of Tourism, Technical Sciences Vocational School, Uluborlu Selahattin Karasoy Vocational School, Distance Education Vocational School, Yalvaç Vocational School, Yalvaç Technical Sciences Vocational School and Yenişarbademli Vocational School.

The newly established Graduate Education Institute, affiliated to the Rectorate, was also included in Isparta University of Applied Sciences.

Thus, pursuant to the Law Number 7141 on the Amendment of the Higher Education Law and Certain Laws and Decree Laws, which was sent to the Prime Ministry by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to be approved and published in accordance with the first paragraph of Article 89 and paragraph (a) of Article 104, 4 faculties, 2 colleges and 17 vocational schools within the body of Süleyman Demirel University, which was established in 1992, were separated from SDU and connected to the newly established Isparta University of Applied Sciences.

In accordance with the articles 2, 3 and 7 of the Presidential Decree numbered 13 and 3 of the law numbered 2547, according to the decision number 2018/160 published in the Official Gazette dated September 6, 2018 and numbered 30527, Prof. Dr. İbrahim Diler was appointed as the Rector of Isparta University of Applied Sciences.
